Biography
Australian renowned theatre, TV and musical actress. After winning the City of Sydney Shakespearean Championship at 16, she entered acting full-time at age 19. Kirkpatrick broke many television molds and won a place in daytime TV history during her tenure in "Prisoner: Cell Block H," appearing in nearly 500 episodes, June 1982 thru 8/29/1986. After criticizing TV producers for the lack of opportunities for older actresses, Kirkpatrick went thru a disappointing seven years without any substantial roles. In October 1995, her international career was revived with her onstage performances alongside Lily Savage in "Prisoner Cell Block H: The Musical."
