Biography
Supreme leader of North Korea, the son of Kim Jong Il (1941–2011) and the grandson of Kim Il Sung (1912–1994). He has held the titles of the First Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Chairman of the Central Military Commission, First Chairman of the National Defence Commission of North Korea, the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, and also a presidium member of the Central Politburo of the Workers' Party of Korea. He was officially declared the supreme leader following the state funeral for his father on 28 December 2011. He is the third and youngest son of Kim Jong-il and his consort Ko Young-hee.
On 12 June 2018, he met the American president Trump in Singapure for disarmament talks.

Birth date from Wikipedia, year is uncertain, can be 1983 or 1984. Wikipedia quotes a NTY article of 9 September 2013, where NBA player Dennis Rodman is quoted after a visit to Nother Korea, with "Kim was 30 years old and that his birthday was 8 January. The age and birthday conform with what South Korean intelligence officials have said [i.e. 1983]."
Starkman quotes Telegraph News for 1984: "Mrs Ko [his aunt] is sure of his age because her own son was born in the same year as Mr Kim – and the two children would play together." [1]
The Chinese state newspaper Global Times tweeted on 8 January 2019: “January 8 is #KimJongUn ‘s 35th birthday, which means he will celebrate his birthday during his January 7 to 10 visit to China,” indicating also 1984 as birth year.
1982 has also been suggested as birth year, but it does not fit at all with the presumed age at the time of his schooling in Switzerland up to the year 2000.
