Janet L. Kavandi (NASA portrait)


American scientist, NASA astronaut and a veteran of three Space Shuttle missions who has served as NASA's Deputy Chief of the Astronaut Office. Kavandi logged over 33 days in space, travelling over 13.1 million miles in 535 Earth orbits. She is currently the Center Director at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
