Biography

Canadian homicide victim, a drug addict and prostitute, last reported alive on 28 March 1999 in Hamilton, Ontario at age 34. On 3 April 1999, her dismembered remains were discovered at a house in the same city. Her body had been hacked to pieces. Forensic experts identified her through her fingerprints. A suspect, Sam Pirrera, who was charged with murdering Karer and his ex-wife, was found dead at age 32 on 12 February 2000 in a Toronto jail cell.

The case is explored in the 2009 book, Vanished: Cold-Blooded Murder in Steeltown by Jon Wells.
