Biography
French jockey, winner of four consecutive Cravache d’Or : 1992 (124 wins), 1993 (157 wins), 1994 (158 wins), 1995 (155 wins). He was also the winner of the Arc de Triomphe in 1992, riding Subotica and in 1994, riding Carnegie. This is the biggest race in Europe, held at Longchamp in Paris. The world's fastest thoroughbreds compete in the 2,400 meter classic distance (approx. 1 1/2 miles) This internationally renowned sporting event is the most highly prized competition for fans of flat racing.
