Source Notes
PTA quotes the manuscripts of the Jagiellonian Library, provided by Sylwia Konarska-Zimnicka.
His Horoscope is calculated to April 27 1468 23:48 (calculated from the south), and thus de facto next day, ie April 28 11:48. To Ascendant is 27°22' Lion - as is stated in the manuscript - you have to add approx. 10 minutes. Hence, we decided that the horoscope should be cast to 11:58 LAT (= 10:33 GMT).
Meanwhile, Jan Dlugosz ( Complete Works , Volume V, Fr. XII, Krakow 1870, p. 473) gives another version to the birth of Frederic: "We Thursday, twenty-seventh day of April, after the sixteenth [ie. On Thursday, April 28, 1468, at 4:00 - ed. PP ], the queen Elizabeth in the castle Krakow excretes ninth abortive birth sixth son: that in the church of Krakow was baptized by John the bishop of Cracow, on Sunday, the eighth day of May, and to the requests of Protazy in hush bishop Olomouc, who held him for baptism, was named Frederick. " reported by Mirosław Czylek .
