German anatomist and professor at the University of Marburg who dealt with the anatomy of the Vertebrate and with features of the Nordic and Frisian "breed".
In May 1933 he became a member of the NSDAP (Nazi party), as well as the National Socialists' Association, the Nazi Teacher Association, and NSV. In November 1933 he signed his allegiance as a German professor to Adolf Hitler.
He died on 22 December 1968 in Marburg, aged 82.
