Sy Scholfield quotes "Honore Jaxon: Prairie Visionary" by Donald B. Smith (Coteau Books, 2007, p.4): "in Toronto . . . [w]here their second son was born on May 3, 1861. With great emotion, Thomas Jackson wrote to his mother and sister in England on May 5 that Elizabeth had given birth to twins, 'a fine boy at a quarter to six pm.' Then, at a quarter past ten, 'after suffering more than a martyrdom another boy was brought into the world dead. . . We propose to call him [our living child] William Henry in memory of my poor brother who was drowned.'"
