Biography

Norwegian actress and theatre instructor. She started acting professionally in 1932, when she appeared at the revue theater Chat Noir. From 1945 she worked at Nationaltheatret (the National Theatre) in Oslo.

In 1924 she married poet Rudolf Nilsen, who five years later died of tuberculosis. In 1932 she married head physician Einar Hval (1 November 1901 – 12 June 1958).

Ella Hval died on 17 December 1994, aged 90.
