Biography
Austrian architect, from 1977 to 1998 he was professor at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Holzbauer is one of the survivors of the sinking of the Andrea Doria, an Italian passenger ship which sank on 26 November 1956 in the Atlantic near Nantucket, after colliding with a Swedish ship. He was on his way to Boston, where spent a year at the MIT.
