Biography
American mass murderer, featured in the 1966 non-fiction novel In Cold Blood written by Truman Capote. A white male, average size and build, he had dark hair, blue eyes and a ruddy complexion. He worked as a car painter and mechanic, bringing in extra cash as a petty thief.
Hickock married Carol, the daughter of a Baptist preacher in July 1950, eloping together. They separated in 1956 and he made a second marriage to a pregnant girlfriend. He divorced twice and had a total of three sons.
