Biography
Scottish impressive stage actress who became noted for her performance in "Hamlet" in 1948. Some of her other films are; "The Story of Gilbert and Sullivan" (1953), "She Didn't Say No" (1958), and "Freud" (1962) in the U.S.
Herlie also appeared across from Richard Burton in the filmed stage production of "Hamlet" in 1964. From 1976 to June 2008 she played the role Myrtle Fargate on the ABC soap opera “All My Children.”
Herlie died of complications from pneumonia on 8 October 2008 in Manhattan aged 90.
