French stage and film actress who appeared in 80 films between 1909 and 1936.

Among her great stage successes were Une nuit de noces by Henri Kéroul and A. Barré, Chéri, Claudine à l'école by Colette, Ciboulette, an operetta by Robert de Flers and Francis de Croisset, and Grisou by Pierre Brasseur.

In cinema, she was discovered by Louis Feuillade who shot her in several short films before she came to fame in Henri Desfontaines' 1922 La Fille des chiffonniers. Among her favourite roles were servants, cooks, fish merchants, and owners of barracks.

She died on 12 April 1936, aged 65, in Paris.
