Lilly Grenier (Portrait in a Kimono by Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec)


French artist's model, portrayed wearing a kimono in several paintings by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Her husband, Albert (René) Grenier was also depicted by the artist.

The Greniers resided in an apartment-cum-salon in Montmartre which became a second home for Lautrec. Edgar Degas lived in the same building.

Lili (also spelled Lilli) Grenier died on 10 September 1936 at 1:30pm in Montaigu.
