Biography

Norwegian conductor and composer best known as the one who has been conductor the most times for the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and as conductor and head of the Norwegian Opera from 1961 to 1969. In 1959 he was appointed Knight 1st Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav.

Grüner-Hegge died on 11 May 1973 in Oslo, Norway, at the age of 73.
