Ana González (1943)

Biography

Chilean actress in theatre, television and radio, commonly known by her nickname La Desideria, who received the National Prize of Art of Chile in 1969 for her work.

González died on 21 February 2008 at 8:05pm in her apartment on Miraflores Street in Santiago, Chile, aged 92, from septic shock and the failure of both her liver and kidneys. She was also ill with advanced Alzheimer's disease since 1995, which left her in poor health for the last two years of her life.

Sy Scholfield provided birth certificate: "a las cuatro de la tarde" (at four in the afternoon). The original birth date was recorded as 8 June 1915 but a handwritten 1941 amendment on the entry states date of birth as 4 May 1915.
