French businessman, an industrial executive noted as an engineer of roads and bridges in Guinea, Brazil and Peru. He held several positions as trade manager, vice-president and general manager of the St. Wendel-Sidelor Co. as well as administrator on the board of several other companies, such as ENS, Paribas bank, and Peugeot.
In 1995 he was appointed an Honorary Member of the Order of Australia (AM), "for service to Australian-French relations, particularly in the business sphere".
Jean Gandois married on 7 July 1953. He died on 7 August 2020 in Sologne at age 90.
