Peruvian writer who made his literary debut in 1996 with Matacabros, a collection of short stories. In 2005, the same year that he moved to Madrid, Spain, his fourth book, La soledad de los planes, was released. The following year he won Silver in Peru's highest literary award, Copé de Plata, in the short story category, with El mapache ("The Raccoon").
