American-Canadian nuclear physicist and propulsion systems expert who worked on the Pioneer Spacecraft. Known as "Mr. Flying Saucer," he made a study of saucers since 1959 and was convinced that 90% of all sightings are explainable and that at least 30,000 of them are valid phenomena.

A UFO advocate, he began lecturing to large audiences in the United States and Canada in 1968 and had given over 400 lectures.

He died on 13 May 2019, aged 84, in Toronto, Ontario.
