Biography

French inventor of traffic lights, he described them in 1920 as follows: "poles three metres high will be installed at the corners of street intersections, on which electric light and sound signals will be fixed (...)". He disseminated his ideas and sold all his inventions to France for the love of his country. He died on 17 June 1954 at age 64.
