Biography

Norwegian, violinist, conductor, and composer. He was particularly known for his work as conductor of opera and operetta.

On 20 February 1944 he survived the sinking of the ferry "Hydro" which was carrying heavy water meant for Nazi Germany and its attempt at creating atomic weapons. It was sunk by a bomb by the Norwegian resistance movement.

Fladmoe died on 18 November 1993 in Oslo, Norway, aged 78.
