Biography
Hungarian-American journalist at the New York Times since 1980, serving as the letters editor at the same newspaper since 1999. On 27 June 1986 he married psychiatrist Cathy Friedman, one of the two daughters of Louis L. Friedman (1906–1997), an American lawyer and politician from New York.
