Martin Elsaesser (portrait by Lino Salini)


German architect and professor of architecture well known for the many churches he designed and for other commissions such as the Grossmarkthalle in Frankfurt am Main. Martin Elsaesser died in Stuttgart on 5 August 1957 at age 73. He was the grandfather of the international film historian Thomas Elsaesser (1943-2019).
