Biography
Polish art collector, museologist, pharmacist, creator of the Museum Jerzy Dunin-Borkowski in Krosniewice which became a branch of the National Museum in Warsaw.
Collecting art was his passion since his youth - he began collecting coins as a young child, and later expanded its resources for painting, arts and crafts, archives and old prints, including incunabula.
He participated in the Warsaw Uprising in the ranks of the Army. He lost at this time works of Caravaggio, Ribera, Bacciarellego, Podkowiński and Kossak, who gathered before the war.
He died 23 July 1992.
