Étienne Devismes (Portrait, "Tête d'un homme" (Head of a Man), by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, 1882)


French journalist and editor of the royalist regional newspaper, "Le Propagateur de la Champagne."

He was a schoolmate of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec who considered him as a kind of older brother for the rest of his life.

Toulouse-Lautrec painted his portrait in 1882.

He died in Clermont de l'Oise at 3:25 a.m. on 29 April 1910.
