British singer, songwriter and recording artist with "Fairport Convention" from 5/68. The group was established after three albums, with her reputation that of a top British female vocalist. Her own band in 1969 did not come off, but she retained popularity in solo and guest performances. She married in 1973, then went back to "Fairport" for a world tour. She died from head injuries after an accidental fall downstairs 5/05/1978.
