Biography
American homicide victim who died of massive stab wounds to her abdomen, diaphragm, liver and kidneys on 8/23/1992, 5:30 AM, Lexington, MA. The assault was by an unknown and still not apprehended killer.
Fatally wounded, she called 911 for help and unable to get through, reached a telephone operator who transferred her call to the Lexington fire department. Her family is suing the telephone company because the operator failed to identify herself to the fire department dispatcher and failed to give him the phone number from which Kathleen had called, which would have enabled them to find the address where she lay bleeding. It took the fire department hours to decipher the call, by which time it was too late.
