French soldier, who became a leader of the Organisation de l'armée secrète (OAS) Delta Commandos in the last months of French rule in Algeria. On 15 March 1962 the group attacked Chateau-Royale in El-Biar close to Algiers, killing a number of people. He was arrested on 7 April 1962, condemned to death on 28 June and executed by firing squad on 6 July 1962 at Fort d'Ivry near Paris.
