French haute couture fashion designer. She started the fashion house which carries her name together with her three sisters in 1932 in Paris. In the mid 19050s she founded, together with eight other designers (Carven, Nina Ricci, Jean Dessès, Jacques Heim, Madame Grès, Maggy Rouff, Lavin and Jacques Griffe), the group Prêt-à-porter Création.
She closed her house in 1974 and retired. She died in 1985, at age 89.
