Biography

Belgian zoologist, whose research on the Gregarines and the earthworm was crowned by the Academy. He taught Zoology at the Faculty of Science and Comparative Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine. He was a Member of the Royal Academy of Belgium. He died in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode on 10 December 1864.
