Biography
Costa Rican lawyer, human rights activist and political Afro Rican. First black person to be elected deputy, a post he held in the legislative period 1953-1958, declared National Hero by the Legislative Assembly in December 2002 Curling is known for his struggle for human rights and migrants. Law 1902 of 1955, nicknamed "Curling Law" to be of his own, allowed the naturalization of foreigners residing in the country.
He died on 22 July 1987.
