French botanist and geologist who conducted studies on fossil flora.
He was the son of François Crié, a pharmacist in Conlie, and Olympe Grassin. He was a pupil of the Lycée du Mans in 1868. He was a doctor of medicine (1877) and a doctor of science (1878). A naturalist, he became a professor at the Faculty of Science in Rennes, at the École de Medicine and Pharmacy in Rennes.
He died on 31 August 1912 in Rennes, aged 62.
