Mexican writer, Canon, Professor and academics. He specialized in the translation of works from Latin into Spanish. From 1948 he was a professor at the Theological Seminary of Mexico teaching for over fifty years. Since 1986, he was an honorary canon of the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral. In October 1998 the Holy See granted the title of Monsignor. He was elected full member of the Mexican Academy of Language on May 14, 1998, he took up the chair XXXVI on August 27 the same year.

He died on 7 February 2015.
