French militant royalist, a 'Camelot du roi,' committed to the Free France Forces from June 1940 and serving as the Secretary of Jean Moulin in 1942-1943.

After the war, he was an art dealer, critic, collector and organizer of exhibitions, before devoting himself to work as a historian.

He was named "Grand Croix" in the French Legion of Honour awards in 2018. He died on 20 November 2020 at age 100.
