Biography
American chemical engineer and CEO of Adolph Coors Brewing Company, a large beer manufacturing/distribution company. Coors has his BS and MS in Chemical Engineering.
His father was Adolph Coors, Jr. and his grandfather was the founder of Coors Brewing Company. His older brother, Adolph Coors III, was slotted to take over the company's helm but was killed in February 1960 in a botched kidnapping scheme, and William inherited the "throne" of the family business.

Paul Hewitt collection gives August 11, 1916 but older brother Adolph III was reportedly born in January 1916. and a New York Times article reported that he was 44 at the time of his disappearance (February 1960). Ancestry.com lists a Wiliam K. Coors in the US public records living in Golden, CO and born on July 1, 1916; Wikipedia and the Gale Group Who's Who simply gives 1916.
