Louis Jacques de Coehorn


French military officer, appointed a general in 1807.

General Coehorn fought in the battles of Aspern, Essling, Wagram, and later that of Lützen and Bautzen. He had a thigh blown away by a cannonball in the Battle of Leipzig, remained in the hands of the enemy and died of his wounds in Leipzig on 29 October 1813, aged 42.
