Biography
German author of books for children and youth, whose 1947 biography of Helen Keller was reissued several times to 1995.
She was the daughter of Alfred Halm, director of the Neue Schauspielhaus in Schöneberg. After attending a school of applied arts, she lived as a writer in Berlin. In 1936, the National Socialist (Nazi) rulers imposed a writ on her.
