Biography
Italian geologist and paleontologist who left a rich and varied scientific legacy including stratigraphy, geology and paleontology (over one hundred and eighty publications), among which the most noteworthy and important are the geological survey of the Capitanata, studies of macrophoramines and echinids and the description of fossils in Tripoli and Somalia.
Graduated in 1900 in Natural Sciences, he taught geology and paleontology at the Universities of Palermo (1908), Cagliari (1926) and Rome (paleontology from 1928 and geology from 1935).
He died on 30 November 1947.
