Pierre Chareau

French architect and designer, credited for building the first house in France made of steel and glass, the Maison de Verre (1928-1931).

His designs were noted for their complex nature. Chareau was a member of Congrès International d'Architecture Moderne.

He died in New York on 24 August 1950.
