Félicien Chapuis


Belgian doctor and entomologist who specialised in Coleoptera and finished the text of Genera des coléoptères by Théodore Lacordaire (1801—1870) when Lacordaire died. He wrote three volumes on the subject in Histoire Naturelle des Insectes (1874, 1875, 1876). His other works include Monographie des Platypides (1866) and Synopsis des Scolytides (1869).

Chapuis died on 30 September 1879, aged 55, in Verviers.
