Biography
French occultist, publisher, astrologer, book collector and seller. He was one of the first Parisian booksellers to stock occult titles. In 1888/89 he published his first book of occultism: "L'Or et la Transmutation des métaux, par Tiffereau" [Gold and transmutation of metals by Tiffereau]. The next year, he extended his business by creating the "Bibliothèque Chacornac" [Chacornac Library] which became a famous furniture company. In March 1890, Chacornac published his first catalog of old works related to modern Hermetic Sciences. Around 1901 he called his library: Librairie Générale des Sciences Occultes. He died 27 May 1907.
