Biography
Peruvian journalist, politician and poet. Chávez Aliaga played a substantial role in the establishment of Alianza Popular Revolucionaria Americana, the largest political party in Peru from 1930 to the late 1980s, as well as being the publisher of an influential newspaper "El Peru." In his later life he served in various political offices including Secretario del Congresso and Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic (1956-1962). He died on 14 November 1978 in the city of Lima, Peru.

Nací pues, circunstancialmente, en el pueblecito del Huauco, como hubiera podido nacer en Moscú, Pekín, New York, París, Roma o Madrid."
Translation: It can truly be said that I was born against my will and against my desire of not wanting to be born, at 6 pm, with tribulation and in an hour of blasphemy, an ashamed hour ... an immoral hour. I was born, incidentally, in the village of Huauco, as one would have been born in Moscow, Beijing, New York, Paris, Rome or Madrid.
He was born in the village of Huauco (now called Sucre), located in the Province of Celendin Cajamarca, Peru.
