Mexican economist and professor. He underlined by drawing the early sixties the map of economic subordination of Mexico to the United States. He was emeritus researcher at the Institute of Economic Research (1987) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, National University Award in Teaching of Science Economic and Administrative (1990). He was also awarded the Sinaloa Prize of Sciences and Arts (1995), was named Doctor Honoris Causa from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (1997) and was a member of the board of El Colegio de Sinaloa.

He died 3 January 2012
