Biography
American poet and writer of Mexican and Greek ancestry, who served as the 2013-2014 Texas Poet Laureate, becoming the first Latina named to the State post. Her poems are widely published in high school and college textbooks and numerous literary magazines. Her work was twice collected in the annual Best American Poetry anthology and earned fellowships.
Rosemary Catacalos died on 17 June 2022 at age 78 in San Antonio, Texas.
