Biography

Argentine fiction writer, journalist, and translator. He was a friend and frequent collaborator with his fellow countryman Jorge Luis Borges, and wrote what many consider one of the best pieces of fantastic fiction, the novel The Invention of Morel.

In 1990 he was awarded the de Cervantes Prize.

He died 7 March 1999.
