Biography

Italian academic and Esperantist.

He graduated in Medicine and Law, and served as the thirtieth rector of the University of Parma, from 1 November 1950 to 1 November 1956.

Canuto taught Esperanto and became chairman of the Esperanto group in Turin. In 1928 he became vice-president of the Italian Esperanto Federation. In 1929-1930 he held an Esperanto radio course in Turin.

Lastly, he achieved the important positions of President of the Italian Esperanto Federation (1950-1960) and of the Esperanto Universal Association (1956-1960).

He died on 29 October 1960.
