Source Notes

Penfield Collection spec "based on an old book which stated that he had Uranus rising." Wemyss gives a spec of "forenoon" in MA 7/32. Rudhyar gives a spec of 1:27 PM. (July 10, 1509 OS).

Sy Scholfield quotes "Melanchthon und Der Calvinismus" by H. J. Selderhuis (Frommann-Holzboog, 2005), p. 237: "According to Florimond de Raemond's horoscope, Calvin was born at precisely 1:27 p.m. No clock at the beginning of the sixteenth century could offer such precision, and no contemporary source gives an approximate time for the great man's birth. The time given by Raemond must therefore have been calculated according to the position of the planets."
