French politician, serving as the Minister of Solidarity and Health in the Philippe Government since 17 May 2017.

A qualified doctor, hematologist and university professor, Buzyn chaired France's Agency for Nuclear Safety and Protection against Radiation (IRSN) from 2008 to 2013, a position which involved reassuring the public after Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in 2011.

On 16 February 2020, Buzyn was named as candidate for mayor of Paris for Macron's LREM, replacing Benjamin Griveaux.
