Biography
Belgian surgeon and professor of medicine at the University of Ghent, who was the inventor of dosimetric medicine, which was a great success at the end of the nineteenth century.
He was also responsible for the design and promotion of a working-class model aimed at improving the housing conditions of the workers in his city.
He died in Ghent on 10 January 1902, aged 95.
