Biography
British military, the First Viscount Alan Brooke, an Army Field Marshall and principal military advisor to Winston Churchill during WW II. He organized the British retreat from Dunkirk in 1940. His accounts of the war, based on his diaries, were attacked by WW II leaders as being biased.
Died on 6/17/1963, Hartley Wintley, England.
